This partnership arrangement has resulted in the demolition of approximately 500 council houses and their replacement with a similar number of new build properties for sale. In addition, housing association properties have been built to meet the researched need for appropriate, local affordable housing.

Strata Homes, who are currently constructing the final properties, expect to finish on site by the end of this year if sales continue as strongly as they have been to date.

Ferndale & Brackenhall Liveability Survey

In May 2010 DBI funded a survery of the Brackenhall and Ferndale areas that was carried out by Fresh Horizons and Community Chameleon.  All residents were entitled to participate and results of the survey were used to detail how people feel about living in the area.  To view a PDF version of the survey click here.
