Lower Fixby Residents Association is now Ferndale Residents Association (FRA)

LFRA was formed two years ago when Georgian Mews Residents Association merged with Ferndale Residents Association which at the time was was no longer active.

They represent the interests of all residents living in Ferndale and residents are encouraged to come along to our bimonthly meetings.

Over the past two years they have worked closely with all of the service providers in the area and DBI Ltd Chief Officer, Andi Briggs.  The police and PCSOs also regularly attend our meetings.

We have seen increased police patrols, the installation of CCTV at the bottom of Oxley Road and local residents taking the initiative to set up Neighbourhood Watch on their own streets.

Two of our residents are also now represented on the DBI Ltd board as what happens in the wider area also affects Ferndale.

Residents are often surprised at how much can be achieved when we work together, like the last Halloween and Bonfire nights which passed without incident and were definitely the  quietest on record for Ferndale.

We’re determined to keep Ferndale a safe and desirable place to live and invite all Ferndale residents and those with an interest in the area to join us at our meetings.

Meeting dates and minutes can be found at www.frass.org.uk or you can contact our Chair Yvonne Hutchinson at info@frass.org.uk for more information.
